It is special! It is Christmas Eve. And Christmas Eve is an important festival in Western countries. Do you like Christmas? Today, I have a big surprise for you. Do you want to see it?
Let’s welcome our surprise.
Look, there are ten posters of movies. Do you know anything about them? Can you say something about them?
I know The Lion King. It is an interesting movie. It tells the story of a lion. Its name is Simba. It is cute and brave. I like it very much.
I watched the movie Beauty and the Beast. It is touching. It teaches us that we should not judge a book by the cover and we should always be kind to others.
I know Kung Fu Panda. The panda is fat and cute. At first, he is not good at Kung Fu. But he has five great teachers and works hard, so finally he beats the enemy. I like it.
Wow, you know a lot about them. Very good! There are seven more posters here. If you don’t know about them, it’s OK. Here comes English Festival, you can learn something about them from now!
Do you know what I said? Now I want a volunteer to be a interpreter.
The theme of our English Festival is “Movies Make our lives colorful”.
So, during the festival, we are going to watch some classic English movies.
And of course, we will have a lot of activities about movies.
For Grade One and Grade Two, we are going to practise tongue twisters. For Grade Three and Grade Four, we are going to sing the songs in the movies. For Grade Five and Grade Six, we are going to dub for the movie.
At the end of the festival, we will have a competition and see which class is the best.
There are many stars in the movie and there are lots of shining stars in our class too!
At the Festival, We will select some English stars from each class and present them on the board. We will also select some nice works so that we can enjoy together.
Here, I pronounce our English Festival starts now!
Hope all of you have fun at the festival!
